The mushroom commonly known as the Reishi Mushroom is also known as 'The Mushroom of Immortality'.
The Reishi mushroom has been used in Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years and has an interesting story behind it that I discuss in the podcast.
The reality is that it was coined the name of 'The Mushroom of Immortality' because it was believed to have the benefit of making people live longer or even forever.
While there are over 250 species of the Ganoderma genus the one used back in Ancienet china was the Ganoderma Lucidum or the Chinsese name was Lingzhi.
