Jake Agliata is the Outreach Coordinator for the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain, Pacific, and International regions, where he is responsible for advising and developing chapters and chapter leaders. Jake first got involved with Students for Sensible Drug Policy in 2011 when he co-founded the chapter at Dickinson College, eventually serving as president from 2012 to 2014. In his time at Dickinson, Jake led several initiatives to re-write the school’s misconduct policies based around student safety rather than punishment. He also reached out to other groups on campus to host bi-monthly tabling events linking drug policy reform with other popular social justice causes.
In addition to his work on campus, Jake organized lobby days in support of two key marijuana policy reform bills in Pennsylvania; SB 528 (The Regulate Marijuana Act) & SB 1182 (The Compassionate Use of Cannabis Act). He also hosted a PA gubernatorial candidate for a town hall on marijuana policy reform. An avid writer, Jake has been published in various online and print publications since 2007″
