While the cannabis industry awaits banking relief and inevitable federal legalization, these are some significant areas that need improvement. Marketing/branding and compliance above and beyond state control board-determined standards should continue to be the end goal. Social equity can only remain effective by calling out any and all passive and performative actors in favor of active representation. Finally, attempts to gain positive public support by dispelling the media narrative are crucial in order to expedite legalization.
