Prop 64 did legalize cannabis, however it also allowed local governments the right to tax and regulate, or outright BAN cannabis businesses as they see fit. Our guest, Jacqueline McGowan is the founder of the group “California- City & County Ban Watch” which has become the #1 news source for cannabis regulations in the state. She began the group at the beginning of 2016 in order to track local bans that were sweeping the state after the passage of MCRSA. The group is now busy tracking Proposition 64 bans as well as local medical cannabis regulation implementation.
