Being Denied Cannabis with Barbara Gooding. Barbara is a former nursing professional who suffers from a serious pain condition. Obviously we have talked at length about how cannabis can assist in people managing their pain and suffering. In many instances, cannabis can be used to compliment or even reduce the number of pharmaceuticals taken to ease such pain or suffering. Then, on the other hand, we have heard of physicians pushing back on the notion that patients should be able to self medicate for certain issues your cannabis or cannabis-derived products. Barbara had a 40-year career as a nurse and 20 of those years were as a nursing supervisor. Then in 2012, she suffered a spinal injury that left her in severe pain from her neck down. She joins us today to talk about her personal experience with her pain. As well as talk about how she has helped to change the common thought process of physicians to allow them to experiment with cannabis and cannabis-derived products. Baraba wants to make sure that no one who needs cannabis gets denied the opportunity to use it.
