Environmentally Sustainable Building Practices

Hempresent

0:00--:--
Environmentally sustainable building practices with Greg Flavall. Greg co-founded Hemp Technologies in Asheville, North Carolina, to build healthy, breathable, energy-saving homes with Hemp/Lime and other non-VOC (or non-Volatile organic compound) materials. After a long career in the construction industry, Greg is actively involved in efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse construction site materials, combined with renewable, carbohydrate-based technologies to help reduce our carbon footprint and give back to the Planet. Greg has a deep knowledge of renewable building materials from around the globe, sourcing, and distribution, and supply chain management. Greg is a passionate Speaker/Teacher on "Universal Design" and "Future-Proofing" for "Aging-in-Place" passive income homes - aka "Green Granny Flats" and the ”Boomerang Income Plan” to help ease the affordable housing crisis gripping our world right NOW! He has joined us today to educate us about ways that hemp and other natural resources can contribute to environmentally sustainable building practices and also talk about some special projects he is currently working on.
